PPIE Representatives

Jooli Atkins is one of the patient representatives for the Programme, providing a patient perspective alongside insight from her professional role as the Change Management Lead within Digital Partnering (DP) in the Transformation Directorate of NHS England.  That role involves providing support both internally and externally on digital transformation – an area she is particularly passionate about.

When not at work, Jooli spends time with her family, is an active member of her local amateur theatre group and enjoys ‘pootling’ with her husband to find new places to visit and new antique shops to browse.

I worked in the Construction Technology sector for most of my life. I took early retirement after my diagnosis and was cared for by the Weston Park Team. I joined the Rampart Clinical Trial and was then placed on Immunotherapy Treatment for several months.

I am now enjoying life with my family and grandchildren, and actively enjoy fishing overseas, photography, travelling, and of course food and drink (not too much drink!)

I'm on the PPI team as I’m keen to try and help out with this new venture, and my life experiences might be of help to some people.
